Company history
The company was founded in 1995, originally as an ironworking workshop with less than ten employees and its technical base, a production hall, was located in Dolní Životice. The first major milestone was the start of the production of wear spare parts in 1996, whereby the company acquired the most important thing for its presentation, and began to produce its own products. In order to be able to use the production capacity on a long-term basis, another, and quite logical step was the establishment of the sales department with a warehouse, which ensured the sale of spare parts and presented the company at exhibitions and trade fairs; together with good quality of products, it played a major role in the acquisition of new business contacts at the beginning of the Internet. Thanks to the demands for the production of spare parts, which come in direct contact with the soil and are prone to increased wear, the production halls were gradually equipped with technologies for shaping and refining steel, which meant a great move forward for the company, and hand in hand with these changes, investments in the company’s own design workplace equipment were made.
In 2001, the company took over the complete programme of agricultural machinery production from the Opava engineering company OSTROJ Opava a.s., and began to produce its own agricultural machines under the brand OPaLL-AGRI s.r.o., which was the second big turning point that moved the company into the league of the big manufacturers of agricultural machinery. As a result of the growing production and good sales figures, the capacity of the production facilities began to be insufficient, so the company purchased the former premises of the agricultural research institute ÚKZUZ (Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture) in nearby Hertice, where, after extensive reconstruction, the company’s office premises and spare parts warehouse were moved in 2005. The extensive area also enabled the establishment of a new shop, service workshop and exhibition area, where customers can examine the offered range of agricultural equipment. Two years later, the original production facility in Dolní Životice was also redeveloped, a new hall was built and, at the same time, there was also investment in the facilities for the employees.
In 2014, the construction of a new production and assembly hall was also started. In the area of the former agricultural brownfield, a production area of almost 5,000 m2 grow up, providing space for new welding plants. The product finalization was also significantly supported thanks to several paint shops, both for machines and spare parts. In the next part of the new hall, there is a warehouse of assembly parts, which is followed by the assembly with four separate assembly workplaces. It can be taken for granted that there are also high-quality facilities for employees: sanitary conveniences, as well as a large training room for improving the skills of our staff. The new production hall was inaugurated on 10 September 2015 in the presence of leading representatives of the agricultural sector, headed by the Minister of Agriculture, Marián Jurečka, who also uses the machinery of OPaLL-AGRI s.r.o. on his family farm. As part of the opening ceremony, besides the ribbon-cutting, OPaLL-AGRI machinery was demonstrated in the field, and there was a varied accompanying programme, attended by the presenter Radek Erben, known from television and radio. Apart from the premises and buildings located in Hertice and Dolní Životice, the company also has two business branches in the Czech Republic. The first is located in Golčův Jeníkov in the district of Havlíčkův Brod and the main purpose of the branch is the sale of parts and machines in the northern half of Bohemia. The extensive area was purchased in 2012 and consists of an administrative building and a large warehouse. The second branch is located in the district town of Jindřichův Hradec and the employees commercially cover the sale of machines and parts in the southern half of Bohemia. Warehouses and offices are located in a spacious hall.
